House Party! Wednesday, June 28
Pass the word and mark your calendars for a House Party at the Old Church Gallery, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
You are invited to the Gallery House to view our exhibit of early Floyd County photos taken by Richard and Gertrue Shank, enjoy live music accompanied by R.O. Slusher’s dancing dolls, view our permanent collections, and mingle with friendly folks. Refreshments will include brownies as an homage to the humble Kodak Brownie camera that the Shanks used circa 1912-1917 to capture our imaginations with remarkable views into the past.
Music and more with Andy Buckman, George Slusher, Daisy Slusher, Charlie Thompson, Mac Traynham, Mark Lewis, and friends.
Our House Party event is happening during the annual Give Local NRV Giving Days, June 28-29, an initiative of the Community Foundation of the New River Valley. Through the Give Local platform, supporters of local nonprofits may donate online as well as through traditional means. Contributions of any amount (credit card, cash, or check) made between June 1 and June 29, 2023, count toward Old Church Gallery’s Giving Day goal of $5,000.
