From the Front Porch to the Front Lines ($15.00)
A two-DVD set featuring films created by Floyd County High School students based upon interviews they conducted with twenty-three World War II veterans and family members. This project was funded by a grant from Virginia Humanities and proceeds go to Old Church Gallery. Kiss the Doorknob, by Julia Oxrieder ($22.00)
Stories, songs, recipes, riddles, games, sayings, and biographical sketches from forty Floyd Countians collected by Julia Woodbridge Oxrieder in the 1970s and published in 1996. A sampling of articles from early Floyd Press newspapers is also included.

250 Years in the Blue Ridge: The Legacy of the Slushers and Other Settlers in Floyd County, by Nancy S. Hanley & Janet S. Keith
($25.00)
Oral history and genealogy for Slusher, Gardner, Hylton, Helms, Weddle, Wood, Corn, Turner, Burnett, and DeHart family lines rooted in the Floyd and Willis sections of Floyd County, Virginia. The 262-page hardback was published in 1993 by sisters Nancy Slusher Hanley and Janet Slusher Keith.

Floyd County: A History of its People and Places, by Dr. Amos D. Wood ($50.00)
Published in 1981 from the records of Dr. Amos D. Wood “a prodigious researcher” who collected family histories, Civil War, World War, religious, geographical, and community information relating to Floyd County, Virginia through the 1920s (478 pages plus an index). The Old Church Gallery is the sole remaining distributor of the 1999 paperback edition (third printing).

Music Makers of the Blue Ridge Plateau (Images of America series) ($20.00)
Photographs of old-time musicians with separate chapters for pickers and singers from Galax and the counties of Patrick, Carroll, Grayson, and Floyd. This book was published in 2008 by the Blue Ridge Music Makers Guild, Inc. (limited number of copies available)

The Water-Powered Mills of Floyd County, Virginia
Illustrated Histories, 1770-2010 ($50.00)
Part of the “Contributions to Southern Appalachian Studies” series, this book provides histories of 141 county grist mills and the millers who ran them. Published in 2012, its 292 pages (plus extensive appendices and index) offer readers the lore collected and researched over a 24-year span by authors Franklin F. Webb and Ricky L. Cox.
