A “thank you” update: we so appreciate all who made donations, large and small, on June 22. Indeed, it was a lucky number 22! We placed on two GiveLocalNRV leader boards for small organizations. Thanks to all!

On June 22, 2022, community friends join together for a 24 hour, regional Giving Day. But one can also add support anytime of the year for the ongoing cultural arts projects at the Old Church Gallery through GiveLocalNRV.

The Old Church Gallery is Floyd County, Virginia’s Cultural Arts Museum. We opened in 1978 and have been preserving Floyd County’s creative heritage ever since with exhibits, programs, and collections of both physical objects and digitally-archived images and recordings.

Because we are an entirely volunteer organization, every dollar contributed to Old Church Gallery helps cover operating expenses and move our programs forward. Among the funding needs for 2022:

• exhibit of circa 1910s Floyd County photographs taken by Gertrue & Richard Shank, Sr. ($900 for prints and framing)
• contributions toward a climate-controlled storage and exhibit addition to our existing Gallery House at 110 Wilson Street in Floyd, Virginia

Thank You!
