Old Church Gallery Receives Grant Award

The Old Church Gallery (OCG) is very pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a Virginia Humanities Rapid Grant. This award will help support our Digital Legacy Plan to secure our digital archives. Over the past several decades, the OCG has acquired and developed extensive community archives. The goal of our Digital Legacy Plan is the establishment of a comprehensive, archival digital repository, both on-site and in the cloud, accessible by both PC and Mac-based computers, to contain, update, and preserve our extensive digital content.

Funding grants us the assistance of library consultants to guide us through the development of this project, as well as the purchase of recording and storage equipment, the creation of archival-quality paper records of our holdings, and several other items. Archivists from Radford University and Virginia Tech will also share their expertise with us as part of their community outreach.
