Description

This lightweight bedcovering has four pinwheel designs appliqued on unbleached muslin along with nine clusters of sage green leaves. These are framed with a scalloped border appliqued in the same green, brown, red/white print, and gold cotton material. The quilting emphasizes the movement of the pinwheels as it is hand-quilted in rows following the contours of the applique pieces. This quilt has seen a great deal of use; the green material used in the appliques and binding is especially frayed.
