Description

The indention of a bowl is roughed out in this piece of soapstone. One side is darker than the rest of the stone which may indicate this side was exposed while the rest of the stone was underground. Found near a known prehistoric quarry, this piece was either discarded or left  behind to be worked down into a finished  bowl at another time.
