Description
This finely woven round market basket is in excellent condition. It was made by overlapping stakes radiating from the center of the bottom. By splitting the outermost stake from the center out, the weaver created an odd number which allowed continuous weaving of the bottom and sides. The carved handle has been secured with small tacks.
