This standard business envelope has a 29 cent first class postage stamp affixed commemorating Ben Franklin and the National Postal Museum. The custom cancellation stamp was designed as a part of the 1994 Historical Society postal exhibit at Old Church Gallery.

Floyd County Historical Society members Richard “Dick” Giessler and Maurice Slusher served as guest curators for this exhibit.  Both were stamp collectors and Maurice had retired after many years working  for the Postal Service.
