Description
This lattice-patterned quilt is created with twenty-five blocks of yellow rectangles and sage green triangles arranged around green diamonds. Yellow sashing and green cornerstone squares complete the pattern. There is no batting layer as the maker cut the striped sections from a handwoven wool blanket and pieced them together to use as the quilt backing and binding. The quilting is done in a fan pattern using five stitches per inch. A patch (7 x 8 inches) from a different blanket was used to repair a corner; a missing half-moon shaped section was shored up with blanket stitching.
