Description

The natural linen cloth of this towel is handwoven in a checkerboard pattern. The maker attached a two-and-a-quarter inch band of knit lace to the bottom edge. A loop of linen thread made with “cast-on” stitching allows the towel to hang from a nail.

This was purchased at the sale for Moyer and Thelma Huff Lovins. Thelma’s parents were Walter Frank Huff and Nannie Viola Helms (daughter of Joseph and Malissa Ann Helms) who grew up on Black Ridge.
