Description
This full-size bedcovering utilizes rainbow-colored cotton diamonds to create an eight-pointed star. Each diamond is outline-quilted by hand. Points of the star are highlighted by white cotton squares quilted with stars and channels, bordered by additional rainbow diamonds forming an outer star border. The quilter averaged nine to ten stitches per inch. The middle layer is a very thin cotton batting. The quilt is finished with pink cotton binding.

This quilt was donated by Jessie Tise Heafner and may have been quilted by her mother Alice Peterman Tise. While the maker did all the sewing, she started with a purchased kit containing all the material precut ready to assemble.
