Participates in Citizens Telephone Cooperative’s “Community Show,” cable production with a video tour of the “Sweet & Sassy” feed sack exhibit.

Melinda Wagner and Kathleen Ingoldsby present a program and films at Radford University’s McConnell Library as part of a series commemorating the end of WWII. Their presentation was based on research gleaned from interviews from our “From the Front Porch to the Front Lines” WWII DVD set.

Continues building a new website, digitizing oral history interviews, and inventorying permanent collections while public visitation time is postponed due to the Pandemic.

Loretta Bedia, youngest granddaughter of Florence McNeil of Floyd,created this Corona Virus quilt.

Shares first virtual Facebook exhibit, “Quilt-a -Day,” during March for National Quilt Month – showcasing thirty-one local quilts and the stories they hold.

Continues building a new website using collections data and records, based on the Gallery’s archival materials.

Undertakes the quiet and important work of airing, measuring, photographing, and storing the coverlet/blanket collection.

Launches a brand-new website–the one you’re looking at right now–which combined the formerly separate websites of the Old Church Gallery and Floyd Story Center, and also added a new component: a growing database of cultural objects and oral history interviews in our collections, including numerous images and detailed background information on each item.
