Vaughn-Dunn Woolen Mill, overshot coverletNotes
Earlier Vaughn Woolen Mill coverlets were woven in two panels and seamed together. After the Vaughns purchased new equipment in 1903, Joseph Thomas Dunn (1872-1950) helped them set up the new looms. In time he joined the company and the family, after marrying Allie Manda Vaughn, the daughter of Columbus Penn Vaughn. This one-panel coverlet was woven on one of the new Vaughn-Dunn Woolen Mill looms.
