Description
This side table has tapered legs and a functional 16 1/2 inch wide drawer with two wooden knobs. The drawer front is attached to the sides with a single full-width dovetail. Bands of decorative grooves on the legs, drawer front, and sides contribute to the design.

Henry Harrison Earles (1840-1923) received an abdominal wound in fighting at Drewry’s Bluff during the Civil War. He survived and became a brick mason. He was first married to Mary Susannah Lester. After her death, he married Rosetta Cole Earles (1863-1956).
