Description
This overshot coverlet has seen a great deal of use evidenced by the worn selvages, faded center panel, and some stitching giving way. Its Catalpa Blossom pattern is beautifully matched from panel to panel and the color combination of navy, mauve, and gray accentuates the pattern well.

Dove Cline Wood married Floyd Wayne Hatcher in 1917. She was the daughter of Edward Green and Sarah Salmons Wood. Edward Wood was descended from the Richard “Dickie” Wood family at Woods Gap.
